it has finally paid off to be a complete nerd of 80's films!
this weekend i got this email from susannah gora-- she is a film journalist and she emailed me because she is writing a book, "which is being published by Random House, that explores the history behind the making of seminal 80's youth movies like "The Breakfast Club," "Pretty in Pink" " Sixteen Candles" and "St. Elmo's Fire," and celebrates the great sociological impact these movies have had on Generation X."
sounds amazing to me!! anyways through a google search she found the 'how to carve a molly ringwald pumpkin' article i wrote for the gateway back in the day. she also found my blog and saw that i am obsessed with john hughes and the 80's brat pack scene.
she said she has interviewed many of the directors, actors and writers behind the films, and now she needs to talk to some fans and she wants to interview me!
how insane is that? i am so pumped- because as you know i am obsessed with 80's movies and even currently have a breakfast club poster hanging in my kitchen. (the sixteen candles poster is in the bed room but wasn't given the go a head to hang up by joel...haha)
i can't wait to talk to her. i will let you know how it goes.
