dr phil...

i took the dr. phil quiz- thanks to katie

i got a 41. this is 'answers to who i am now' not who i was in the past:

Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

that sounds like me i think.

what do you score with dr phil?

factory girl...

last night we went and had fish and chips at the dundee dell then went to see factory girl at the dundee.

i didnt really know much about edie sedgwick before the movie. i thought i did know about andy warhol. i even have warhols 'after the party' poster hanging over my fireplace. i love pop art and always thought he was cool.

well after this movie i felt horribly sad. i came home and googled edie sedgwick to see how accurate the movie was. it was right on the ball from what i can see. edie was an art student turned model 'superstar' actress drug addict who died of an overdose ate age 28.

edie sedgwick was a bit of a lost soul who somehow ended up finding andy warhol. she really admired him and his work and when he asked her to be in his 'movies' she said yes and the rest was history.

warhol had this big place he called 'the factory' where they would make movies and he would do his art. they also did a hell of a lot of partying here. speed and booze.

she met bob dylan and feel in love. then couldnt leave the factory and lost him. he later married and she was crushed. she came from a rich but abusive family and was cut off- had no money, and no real friends.

it really made me sad. in the movie andy only gave her $50 for all of her movies and work she did for him. i hope he gave her more.

i still like warhols work, but will never think about him the same again.

stripers.

the past two days at work i have been at our new downtown office stripping wood floors.

you can pretty much say it sucked.

8 hours each day on my hands and knees scrapping old carpet adhesive off of wood floors with a few brave souls. meredith, chris, tj and annie and me were the lucky ones.

the floors weren't the only thing stripped.

my hands, knees and soul were also stripped...

i hurt.

brightside: the new office will look kicking.

locket up...

my locket up betsey johnson 's' locket is on its way...
im patient... valentines day was great.
i told you i didn't need a gift- just you...
but im excited to have my locket soon!
thanks mr. joel.
i heart you.

guess the gift and go to mexico...

...was the game teri and linsey played with cindy this weekend.
see cindy is turning 50 in april and teri and linsey planned a surprise girls trip to mexico in celebration. unfortunately i will be going to nashville for uso practice for japan with joel. plus, i have zero vacation time and money for a week in mexico now...but i will get to go next time.

anyways linsey bought a bag of items that were clues to what her birthday gift was.

the fun part- every time she guessed wrong she had to take a shot of patron.

she ended up taking a few shots (tiny shots) and then guessing right.

i know you ladies will have fun- and drink plenty of pina coladas for me.

mission accomplished.

we went
we ate
we concurred.

the number one meal with sweet tea was just as i remember it.
glorious.
thanks for joining me at chick-fil-a joel, cindy, kim, matt, linsey, randy, teri and erin.

you are a great family.

ps- the shopping went just as successfully.

i found a new pirate sweater with heart eye buttons, a dinosaur thermal shirt and some black and red rose flats. oh and some chuck norris shirts for joel. one says 'guns dont kill people, delta force kills people.' the other says 'i dont need a weapon- i am a weapon.' very awesome. oh and a little hoodie for ring bear ben with sneakers all over it and little leggings and skirt with hello kitty shirt for sister margie.

overall great weekend.

thanks kc.

r.i.p

anna.

i dont really know what to say.
i liked your show and how crazy you were.

ps- who is your baby daddy?

dear chick-fil-a,

i heard you can write chick-fil-a cares, so i decided to this morning.

this is what i said:

Hello dear friends at Chick-fil-a,
I am your biggest fan and in a bit of a pickle. I am in love with your number one value meal with sweet tea. It has become an obsession and I have never felt stronger about anything in my life. Omaha needs Chick-fil-a like the world needs Jesus....and that's a lot. Anyways- I know franchising takes tons of money and well I just dont have it. Is there anyway you have had a location open with a petition of signatures of people that promise to eat at Chick-fil-a every week? I know i could get about a million. Let me know what I can do. I have a big pull here in Omaha and could get it done if you would like to pay me in chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and sweet tea. You can also read about my devotion to Chick-fil-a on my blog at danellep.blogspot.com.

Thank you,

Danelle Schlegelmilch

we will see what they say...
