japan day 6

today we woke up at 9am and did some laundry, packed and checked out of our beautiful hotel at 11am.

1 hour bus ride to naha airport. 2 hour flight to tokyo. 1 hour flight to misawa air force base. finally landed around 7pm. the airport had one terminal and was tiny! all of our luggage took up the whole carousel.

we then loaded all of our stuff into four small vans, because the 2 ton trucks keys were m.i.a.

since the airstrip was like on base, we literally only had to drive for like 5 mins to our hotel.

the place is really nice, we have a kitchen with a oven, microwave, full size fridge, queen bed, living room with a love seat and pull out sofa... but no internet so we are at this 24 hour cafe on base, because its memorial day and nothing else is opened.

tomorrow is 12pm lobby call for practice and sound check. show at 8pm.

japan day 5-part 1

today we woke up around 9am and all went to brunch at macaroni grill because its the only place we can walk to.
then zach, joel, kyle, josh and i went exploring.
we hoped in two taxis and went to chatan town which was what they call okinwawa's california.
we went to sunset beach there and did some shopping.
we also went to mihama american village...which is ironically all americanized. every store had american clothes like hollister, a&f, banana republic all mixed in.
this one store had a used clothing store upstairs will tons of old american t-shirts. we found a few huskers shirts and one omaha lancer's shirt. what are the odds?
we also saw the giant coca-cola ferris wheel that was pretty impressive.
the local's love that place...hardly saw one other tourist.
we also found a club sega- that was a huge arcade. we all jumped in this huge crazy photo booth and got our picture taken. it was a blast! very hot but fun! it's in the 80's but the humidity here is like 90% so it feels like a jungle.

now we are back at the hotel and getting ready for dinner and the second show tonight at camp schwab festival.

day 4- the first show day cliffnotes version

because it's late and im tired tonight we get cliff notes.

slept till 8:30am.
band practice.
lobby call was at 1pm.
one hour drive to camp schwab marine base.
sound check at 2:15pm.






back on bus at 3:30pm.
home at 4:30pm.
get ready for show.
back on bus at 5:30pm.
dinner at 6pm at the globe and anchor at camp foster.
back on bus at 7pm to drive back to the camp schwab festival.
arrive at camp schwab 8pm.

...and tomorrow we do it all again.
