elvisfest 2008

molly asked me to be a guest judge at elvisfest 2008 at the whiskey roadhouse at horseshoe casino.
i must admit i didnt know what to expect but it was AMAZING.
no elvis impersonators here only elvis tribute artists...
thats right live band and all 12 elvis tribute artits rocks the casba.
it was so fun.
i cant wait until the 13th annual next year!

whirlwind week

what the heck happened?
this week has been insane.
i expected a lot of catch up after being gone for almost 2 weeks, but come on man.
monday worked close to 12 hours at the blood drive after just getting home from dallas that night before.
tuesday had microsoft projects training all day then small group and crazy lightening storms all night.
wednesday crazy server at work denied me access to everything all day. then that night we decided to go looking at houses again and actually start the bidding process on our dreamboat house. get home after 11pm...hardly sleep a wink.
thursday meetings from 9am-1:30pm basically. go to lincoln to meet miss nebraska, who is a blood advocate and her platform is helping build up the blood supply. she is super sweet and we cant wait to work with her. did i mention we were bidding on a house. back and forth all day on numbers, money, etc. wedding consultation for wedding im shooting next month right after work. meet mom and randy for dinner. get call that our bid had a ridiculous counter offer on it. we are letting them sit and spin.
tomorrow probably will have tons of fun too.
cant wait.

i am home!!
sorry for the delay in blogging.
i have been one busy gal.
got home to omaha sunday night at 10pm.
was up at 5am the next morning for a 6am live shot with wowt for our rock and roll up your sleeves drive...and was there for around 11 hours.
we brought in 301 pints and it was a great success thanks to our awesome sponsors wowt and kgor!

i am happy to report that my eye has stopped twitching!
now onwards to answering the hundreds of emails i missed at work!

We are home! Well in dallas...omaha tomorrow night.

ok so an update on what the heck we have been up too...
sleeping in.
laying out at the beach under little hut things.
eating.
drinking.
sleeping.
thats it basically.
its glorious!

oh and we went out to find some famous secret tamale place last night that we heard about. the place only serves tamales...
the cab driver said he didnt know where we were talking about.
we then asked him to just take us to the best tamale place in town.
he ended up taking us there.
haha.
it was fabulouso.
we loved every bite
we even got desert tamales.
strawberry for abby and i and pinapple for mary.

basically its been amazing to relax.
my twitching eye has stopped.
but i totally wish i was back at home with joel.
i have been gone for over a week at this point and miss my little penny pie and joel!
im about out of time online here and i have already spent $15 on Internet! can you say crazy?

im loco for the internets!!
its hard to go from being so connected to not at all.
oh well i will be home in to time (saturday night i fly back to dallas then i will get home late sunday night) and back to work on monday! booo!!
