change the world...
i want to change the world.
i was talking to meredith the other day and i told her that i want to change the world.
its true.
i said it long ago- and i will say it again.
i want to take pictures that will change peoples lives.
i will snap photos of the little things in life that make it great or atleast worth living through.
i will then mail them to random people in the phonebook.
that is what i will do...

The band of gold I always dreamed I'd wear...
(the ring is ordered. it's official. i will be mrs. schlegelmilch in 39 days.)
Today I met the boy I'm gonna marry
He's all I wanted all my life and even more
He smiled at me and the music started playing
Here comes the bride when he walked through the door
Today I met the boy I'm gonna marry
The boy who's life and dreams and love I wanna share
The boy whose on my hand a band of gold will bear
The band of gold I always dreamed I'd wear
When we kissed I felt a sweet sensation
This time it wasn't just my imagination
Today I met the boy I'm gonna marry
He's just what I've been waiting for oh yes
With every kiss it's as if my heart keeps saying
Today I met the boy I'm gonna marry

BLOGOSPHERE...
So today I sat in on a web-inar like a seminar online. It was called Mining the Blogosphere: It's a Whole New World of Marketing.
I basically knew all of the things they talked about- they just put it into good words.
"Those online conversations--chatty, impassioned, diary-like--provide a new source of insight for companies to strengthen their brand, gain insights for product development, monitor product launches, and determine marketing campaign effectiveness."
So everytime we talk about our favorite things- there are now company's that report back to 'the man.'
I guess that is what we get for publishing our diaries online.
Here are some more fun facts on blogging...
FACTS ON THE BLOGOSPHERE
50 million blogs
A new blog every second
Over 100,000 message boards
75,000 new blogs each day
50,000 blog posts each hour
More than 30 % of online population visit blogs
Sources: comScore, Spring, 2005 and Technorati.com, April 2006
And another fun thing I just discovered: blog and blogger are not even in the blogger spell check machine.

"To Know You…Better."
So I was looking for some fun questions to ask my fellow bloggers.
I typed in 'questions to ask to get to know someone' into google.
Vague I know. That was the point.
This is the first thing I found by Barbara and Michael Jonas it was a Special to Yahoo! Personals.
They recommend that you print and cut out these cards to try on your next date:
It's three A.M., I'm in a deep sleep -- suddenly the fire alarm goes off . . .
As you run out of the house, what's the first thing you'd grab (excluding things that breathe)?
Me: I would have to say Penny Lane, my camera, my powerbook and of course Joel. I am fast- I could grab a lot of things.
Who is most likely to make you laugh?
Me: Mr. Joel.
"He who laughs, lasts." -- Mary Poolegive
If you were to take a short class for the fun of it, what would it most likely be?
Me: A pottery class. There is just something I miss about that giant kiln and glaze.
"Education is learning what you didn't know you didn't know." -- Daniel J. Boorstin
Even though it could turn your brain into oatmeal, what "junk" TV show have you seen recently that you enjoyed?
Me: Sex in the City- I could watch that show everyday for 12 hours straight.
"Television -- chewing gum for the eyes." -- Frank Lloyd Wright
What career or school risks have you taken that turned out successfully?
Me: Working for obi as a independent contractor- scary for tax purposes- but amazing for friends and great work.
"You can't steal second base and keep one foot on first." -- Unknown
What type of music do you listen to most often and what do you like about it?
Me: I listen to a lot of music...and love it all. I have been really into some indie lately- The Postal Service and The Garden State Soundtrack are a few of my all time faves.
"I only know two pieces of music, one is Claire de Lune, the other isn't." -- Victor Borge
What recreational activity do you enjoy sharing with a partner?
Me: I would have to say kissing with Joel.
"Playing tennis by yourself can be very difficult." -- Unknown
Which celebrity would you like to meet for lunch . . . what would you like to talk about?
Me: Conan O'Brien- I would talk about everything- including the year 2000.
"A celebrity is a person who works hard all his life to become known, then wears dark glasses to avoid being recognized."
-- Fred Allen
The 24-hour day has been extended to 28 -- four more hours! What will you do with the extra time?
Me:I would probably take some naps and play outside more.
"Carpe diem -- Seize the day!" -- Horace
Do you work hard at a hobby? What is it?
Me: I would have to say photography. I love it. I wish I would have more time to do it- and will someday do it full time.
"A hobby is hard work one wouldn't do for a living." -- Unknown
