rocking for conagra
last night joel's other band (jd larson's legands of rock tribute band)played a show for congra's employees at the slowdown.
the show was a fundraiser for their garner, nc employees that are recovering from the last months plant explosion.
they played a bunch of amazing cover songs and rocked the house.
here are some of my favorite pics from the night.
early wake up call.
(below are photos i snapped bright and early on saturday morning)
saturday i got a call at 4am saying we had an apartment fire.
those two words we dont like to hear at the red cross.
they usually arent good.
i hate to see families go through any fire, but to see multiple families going trough it at the same time is even more heart breaking.
the destruction of fires is always scary and leaves me speechless.
the most amazing thing is that we have volunteers on our disaster action team who go out to these fires 24-7.
i am always humbled by the experience of seeing what the red cross does in the field for people.
they are always so helpless and hopeless at first. they then leave our emergency response vehicle (erv) appreciative and usually have at least a tiny glimmer of hope in their eyes. what our volunteers offer is more than the material things, like the blankets, clothes, food and shelter, its the comfort and care, the hugs, hope and peace.
i am always proud of what i do when i leave. i am always proud to have that red cross on my chest.
and now for my pr shpiel:
The Red Cross depends on the generous support of Omaha metro residents to respond to our neighbors who are affected by home fires. You can help the Red Cross continue to be ready to respond and help fire victims by making a financial contribution to Heartland Chapter today. To make a financial donation, visit www.redcrossomaha.org, call 402.343.7700, or mail a check to 2912 S. 80th Ave, Omaha, NE 68124. stella & dot founder and ceo on abc news!
check out this video from friday's abc news featuring stella & dot ceo & founder jessica herrin talking about how stella & dot has increased its revenue by 600% since 2008.
i can definitely see how they have been so successful. the jewelry is ammmmmazing and sells itself, that is why i started selling it because i wanted every piece- and if i sold it i got $350 in free jewels and i got 50% off! hehe.
in the past 2 months ive made a couple hundred bucks so far just hosting trunk shows with friends! it truly is fun & easy! there is no pitch, no pressure, just fun. i set up the jewels, sit there and drink wine with friends, they get free jewelery for hosting and i make some fun money!
i also love that i have a e-boutique that people can shop on even when i'm sleeping. 30% commission ain't too shabby for doing nothing. :)
if you are interested in learning more about hosting a trunk show to earn free jewels or selling stella & dot with me check out my website, call me or shoot me a message.
a behind the scenes look...
to the fall stella & dot catalog photo shoot...
my truck show last week at the corkscrew went well.

in case you missed it or live out of town- the party is still opened online at www.stelladot.com/danelle.
just click- missed a party and put in my name!
if you are interested in getting some free jewels by hosting a trunk show let me know. there is no pressure, no sales pitch, just fun and affordable glam jewels!

new blog to love...
kitschenfeast by the hilarious heidi (use to have schlegelmilch as her last name) alger...come on- look at the awesome pic of her that she had taken just for her blog.
she describes her blog as:
One kitschy cookbook + one retro recipe each week = vintage vittles!
i describe it as: one hilarious and witty cousin + flipping awesome old school foods that she will whip up= a side busting and calorie free good time.
enjoy!
